Galatasaray Considers Cutting Ties with Injury-Prone Ziyech Amid Repeated Absences

Galatasaray does not seem to appreciate the repeated absences of Hakim Ziyech. The Moroccan international, who participated with the Atlas Lions in the Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire, will be absent in the coming weeks due to injury.
According to the Turkish press, Ziyech’s repeated absences are bothering the club’s management, which has recently made it known that the Moroccan midfielder has already missed several league and international matches. For this reason, the club would consider parting ways with Ziyech at the end of his loan contract with a purchase option and letting him return to Chelsea, the Turkish media report, considering this measure "drastic".
In the meantime, the Turkish club will continue to monitor the player’s progress and hopes he will regain his great form before the end of his contract. To recall, the Atlas Lion was substituted due to injury during the Morocco-Zambia (1-0) match counting for the third and final group stage match of the 2023 Côte d’Ivoire Africa Cup of Nations.
After the elimination of the Moroccan team in the round of 16 against South Africa, Ziyech returned to his club and resumed training. Hakim Ziyech arrived at Galtasaray on loan from Chelsea on August 19, with a purchase option. This season, the Moroccan has scored only 4 goals and provided 2 assists in 14 matches.
