Morocco’s World Cup Hero Mazraoui Honored with Royal Letter from King Mohammed VI

After the ceremony for the presentation of Royal Decorations, King Mohammed VI addressed a letter to the Atlas Lions who achieved great performances at the 2022 Qatar World Cup. Noussair Mazraoui received his at the Moroccan Consulate in Amsterdam.
During a special reception organized in his honor, Moroccan international Noussair Mazraoui received a letter from King Mohammed VI from the hands of the Moroccan Consul General in Amsterdam. In this letter, the sovereign congratulated the Moroccan right-back who contributed to the historic and exceptional feats of the Moroccan team at the 2022 World Cup.

Considered an outsider, Morocco shone in Qatar by beating major football nations like Belgium, Spain and Portugal to offer Africa and the Arab world the first semi-final qualification in a World Cup. It finished fourth in the competition after its defeat against Croatia (1-2) in the third-place match.
