Bayern Munich's Mazraoui Returns to Training After Covid-19 Complications

Bayern Munich announced on Thursday that Moroccan international, Noussair Mazraoui, has resumed training after several weeks of absence. During the World Cup in Qatar, he had been affected by Covid-19.

Noussair Mazraoui had suffered from pericardial inflammation - the membrane surrounding the heart - after contracting Covid-19 during the last World Cup. Since then, he has not been able to train. His health condition now seems reassuring. Before his absence from the pitches, the 25-year-old player had scored three goals in 18 appearances.

It remains to be seen whether the Moroccan defender will be able to play in Bayern Munich’s upcoming matches. After eliminating PSG in the Champions League round of 16 first leg, the German club will face Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday, February 18 at the Borussia-Park stadium as part of the 21st matchday of the Bundesliga.
