Bayern’s Mazraoui Makes Triumphant Return in 2-0 Win Over Hertha Berlin

Moroccan international fullback, Noussair Mazraoui, was named in the starting lineup for the first time after a long absence due to pericarditis, on Sunday in the match between Bayern Munich and Hertha Berlin, for the 30th matchday of the Bundesliga.
The coach of the Bavarians, Thomas Tuchel, decided to respond to the Moroccan defender’s complaints about his playing time by giving him a place in the starting lineup. Mazraoui was thus able to show his quality of play and help his team win 2-0 against Hertha Berlin.
The goals were scored by Serge Gnabry in the 69th minute and Kingsley Coman in the 79th minute, both assisted by Joshua Kimmich. This victory allows Bayern Munich to regain their place as Bundesliga leaders with a one-point lead over their rival Borussia Dortmund, held in check on Friday evening by Bochum (1-1).
The Bavarian club now has its destiny in its own hands to win an eleventh consecutive league title, a performance that has not been equaled since 2011. Noussair Mazraoui, for his part, will try his best to regain his best level within the German club, unless he decides to leave during the summer transfer window.
