Bayern’s Mazraoui Hints at Exit After Champions League Defeat, Citing Lack of Playing Time

Moroccan right-back Noussair Mazraoui has expressed his frustration with his current situation at Bayern Munich. After the German club’s defeat in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals against Manchester City, the player clearly indicated that he wanted to leave the club.
"I am obviously disappointed with my situation. I was a starter before the World Cup. Now I am fit and I don’t have playing time. I’m not even the second or third option. It’s too early to talk about my future here, but it’s not good," he said at the press conference.
Mazraoui had been a key player during the 2022 World Cup with Morocco, reaching the semi-finals of the competition. However, since his return to Germany, he has become a substitute for coaches Julian Nagelsmann and Thomas Tuchel. The arrival of Joao Cancelo has also complicated things, as the Portuguese is not an undisputed starter in the team.
The Moroccan international has clearly made it known that he wants to leave the club if he does not get enough playing time. He believes he is at a very good level and deserves to be an important piece in a top European project.
