Morocco’s Women’s Soccer Team Climbs to 73rd in FIFA World Rankings

Ranked 76th a few months ago, the Lionesses of the Atlas have progressed, moving up to 73rd place, according to the latest FIFA ranking published on Friday.
The national women’s team has gained three places in the FIFA ranking, with a score of 1333.57 worldwide. This progress was recorded thanks to its performance during the last Africa Cup of Nations which took place in Morocco and its qualification for the 2023 World Cup in Australia-New Zealand. In the FIFA Top 5, there are the United States, Germany, Sweden, England and France.
As for their position in Africa, the Lionesses of the Atlas remain in 7th place. The Moroccan national team is actively preparing for their first World Cup participation. Morocco is ranked in Group H with Germany, Colombia and South Korea.
