Morocco’s Walid Regragui Reportedly Approached by Saudi Club During Scouting Trip

The coach of the Moroccan national team, Walid Regragui, would be in the sights of certain major clubs in Saudi Arabia who have tried to convince him to join the Saudi Pro League during his recent tour of the country.
During his recent trip to Saudi Arabia in search of new talents to strengthen the national team, Walid Regragui would have been approached by a major Saudi club wishing to have him from next season, reports the site Win Win.
But the Moroccan technician would have declined the invitation, recalling that he was on a mission on behalf of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and that he is committed to respecting his contract with the Federation.
The information was widely relayed on social networks during Regragui’s recent tour of Saudi Arabia, which fueled rumors about his possible departure from the head of the Moroccan national team.
After the disappointing elimination of the Atlas Lions in the round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire, the Moroccan coach is betting on an exemplary run in the next Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for 2025 in Morocco to regain the confidence of the FRMF and the esteem of Moroccan supporters.
