Saudi League Targets Moroccan World Cup Stars in Major Recruitment Drive

It’s time for XXL recruitments for the Saudi championship! The leaders have decided to strike hard by attracting players from the Moroccan national team, crowned with their success at the 2022 World Cup.
Substantial funds have been released to seduce the most prominent Moroccan talents, including Hakim Ziyech (currently at Galatasaray), Azzedine Ounahi (Olympique de Marseille), Youssef En-Nesyri (Sevilla) and Soufiane Rahimi (Al-Ain), report local media.
Faced with this interest, the players’ agents have already given the green light for a transfer to the Saudi clubs, at least for some of them, while others want to first continue their European adventure before a golden retirement in Saudi Arabia.
It should be noted that since the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, a wave of Moroccan players has chosen to fly to the Gulf championships. This phenomenon has led Walid Regragui, the national coach, to review his selection strategy, now giving less priority to players playing in European championships.
