Morocco Unearths Major Copper Deposit, Boosting Energy Transition Prospects

An important copper deposit has just been discovered by the Moroccan mining company Red Rock Mining, specialized in the exploration and exploitation of copper deposits and supported by foreign investments.
After two years of intensive exploration, it has discovered a significant copper deposit in the Anti-Atlas mountain range. This discovery is all the more timely as it comes at a time when copper is a key metal for the energy transition. Red Rock Mining, which holds several exploration permits in these areas, thus confirms its ambition to become a major player in the mining sector in Morocco.
In a press release, Red Rock Mining also highlighted its exploitation strategy, focused on innovation and sustainability. The company intends to adopt advanced technologies to optimize water consumption and the use of clean energies, while effectively treating mining waste.
Likewise, Red Rock Mining expresses its social commitment, by valuing local employment and investing in training.
