Morocco’s U17 Women’s Team Struggles Ahead of World Cup Opener Against Brazil

The friendly match between Morocco and Chile at the Goa stadium in India ended in victory for the Chilean under-17 selection. The Moroccan selection continues to chain defeats, leaving doubts about its potential to face its opponents throughout this U17 World Cup.
Before this match against Chile which ended with a score of 3 to 1, Morocco had already suffered two crushing defeats against Portugal. With this thrashing received from Chile, Wednesday, October 5, the concerns are mounting in the Moroccan supporters’ camp who are wondering what to expect from this national selection that only collects defeats.
The U17 World Cup starts on October 11 and Morocco will have to face Brazil at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, before facing India on the 14th of the same month, and finally the United States on the 17th, at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa. Coach Anthony Rimasson’s protégés must surpass themselves to at least pass the first round and restore confidence in the supporters, who for the moment, are questioning their potential to represent Morocco.
