Morocco Stuns Host India 3-0 in U17 Women’s World Cup Match

After stumbling against Brazil, the Moroccan under-17 national football team bounced back against India, the host country of the women’s World Cup in this category. The final score was 3-0 for Morocco.
Beating India on their home turf and in front of their home crowd. Morocco achieved a very good performance on Friday afternoon during the 2nd day of the Under-17 Women’s World Cup. The first goal was scored on a penalty in the 50th minute by Doha El Madani. The second goal was the work of Yasmine Zouhir in the 62nd minute. Djennah Cherif further widened the gap in stoppage time.
It is the first victory of an Arab team since the start of the competition. With these three points earned, Morocco is for the moment third in Group A behind Brazil and the United States, both with 4 points. India is at the bottom of the standings with 0 points.
The 3rd match of the Moroccan women, still for the group stage, will be against the United States on October 17 in Goa (west). A victory would increase the chances of qualification for the 2nd round.
