Morocco’s U17 Women’s Team to Face Portugal in World Cup Warm-Up Matches
As part of the preparations for the U17 Women’s World Cup, the Lionesses of the Atlas will play two friendly matches against Portugal, announced the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF).
Qualified for the U17 Women’s World Cup to be held in India from October 11 to 30, the Moroccan team will face Portugal in two friendly matches organized by the two countries. The first match will take place on Tuesday, September 20 at 3:00 PM, and the second will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM in Portugal, according to a press release published on the FRMF website.
The Lionesses of the Atlas are placed in Group A, alongside India, the United States and Brazil. Their first match will be against Brazil on October 11 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar. They will face India on the 14th and challenge the United States on the 17th of the same month, but this time at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa.
For this first participation in the U17 World Cup, the Lionesses of the Atlas intend to go as far as possible in the competition.
