Morocco U17 Advances to Arab Cup Quarter-Finals with 1-0 Win Over Comoros

The Moroccan U17 national football team qualified for the quarter-finals of the Arab Cup taking place in Algeria. Morocco beat the Comoros 1-0.
The young lions validated their ticket after this second consecutive victory, obtained in the 3rd and final match of the first round of the competition. The architect of this feat is Adam Chekir who scored the winning goal in the 83rd minute of play.
Thus, Morocco ranks second in group C behind Iraq, synonymous with qualification for the quarter-finals. The Comoros Islands (3rd, 3 points) and Mauritania (4th with zero points) are eliminated.
For the next stage scheduled for Thursday and Friday, Iraq will face the second of group D, while Morocco will face the first of group D. This group consists of Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia.
