Morocco Travel Guides Surge in Popularity as French Tourism Rebounds

After two years of the Covid-19 health crisis, travel enthusiasts are taking to the skies again. This is evidenced by the sales recorded since the beginning of the year. At Michelin Editions, sales of European guides have jumped by 400% in the first four months of the year compared to the same period last year, while those of World guides have increased by 170%, reports BFMTV. "The market is exploding" since the beginning of the year, even if it has "not yet reached the 2019 level," says Philippe Orain, editorial director of Michelin travel guides. According to him, it would take "until the end of July" to regain the pre-pandemic purchasing level.

The Greek islands, Italy and Morocco are at the top for the closest destinations, and the United States, India and Central America for the farthest. "In the United States, we find California, Florida and the great parks of the West, these are all the trips we couldn’t make during the pandemic," notes Philippe Orain.
