Morocco Tourism Slumps as French Travelers Seek New Destinations in 2021

Morocco is one of the least visited destinations by the French in 2021, according to a survey that discusses the new travel behaviors of travelers.
Travel professionals lived the year 2021 to the rhythm of border closures and reopenings. As in 2020, they were shaken by the health crisis, which worsened in November with the emergence of the new Covid-19 variant, Omicron, according to L’Écho touristique.

On the French market, online and offline travel ticket sales to the United Arab Emirates (Dubai), Tanzania and Finland recorded increases by the end of November. On the other hand, they have significantly decreased towards Morocco, Tunisia and Turkey. This year, French travelers have rather set their sights on metropolitan France, Spain and Greece.
