Morocco’s Top Epidemiologist Tests Positive for COVID-19, Reports Stable Condition

Mohammed Youbi, director of the Department of Epidemiology and Disease Control (DELM), has been diagnosed positive for Covid-19. He is reassuring about his health condition.
Mohammed Youbi, this senior official of the Ministry of Health who led the press conferences every afternoon on the new coronavirus cases, told Le360 that he has tested positive for Covid-19, without specifying where he contracted this infectious disease.
The director of the Department of Epidemiology and Disease Control (DELM) is reassuring about his health condition: "My health condition is stable and I am strictly following the treatment protocol set by the Ministry of Health."
Morocco is facing a resurgence of Covid-19 cases in recent days. The Ministry of Health has also called on citizens to strictly respect the health measures enacted in order to curb the spread of the virus and its variants in the kingdom. As of July 3, the report shows 533,945 cases of contamination, 519,139 recoveries and 9,315 deaths.
