Morocco Tightens COVID-19 Measures for Eid al-Adha Sacrifices

The Moroccan government does not want to take any risks with the celebration of Eid al Adha. To this end, health measures have been taken by the Ministry of the Interior for the safe organization of the sacrifice operations.
In a press release published online, the ministry stated that authorizations will now be issued by the local authorities to professional and seasonal butchers. They will be subjected to virus tests beforehand, it is specified.
In addition to these authorizations, the ministry has promised to provide them with products likely to ensure compliance with the preventive measures in force, such as protective masks, antiseptic and disinfectant products.
The department of Abdelouafi Laftit also calls on all citizens to deal only with people with these authorizations, in order to preserve their health and safety while avoiding the risk of infection.
