Morocco Releases Health Guidelines for Eid Al-Adha Celebrations Amid COVID-19

A "Practical Guide for Compliance with Preventive Health Measures in the Organization of Eid Al-Adha" has just been published by the Ministry of the Interior, jointly with the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests.
This guide defines "the organization, management and operation of markets and marketing spaces for ovine and caprine animals intended for slaughter at Eid Al-Adha for all the actors concerned". It also emphasizes the strict observance of preventive health measures, the risks of Covid-19 contamination, as well as the management of activities related to this occasion, before and during the festival. These are the preventive health measures to be respected in the management and operation of all markets or developed spaces, as well as the additional specific measures for the existing municipal markets.
According to the same source, the guide is also addressed to the additional temporary markets for Eid Al-Adha, the provisions to be taken on the day of Eid by the slaughterers and by the various citizens, as well as the provisions for the trades that revolve around the event, so that everything takes place within the standards established by the authorities since the beginning of the pandemic.
