Morocco Mandates COVID-19 Tests for Eid Al-Adha Butchers Amid Safety Measures

Professional and seasonal butchers practicing the slaughter of the Eid sacrifice must have an authorization duly signed by the local authorities before practicing this religious ritual. This is what the Ministry of the Interior has decided, in order to ensure the health and well-being of all.
This requirement is part of a series of measures taken by the ministry to ensure the holding of Eid Al Adha 1441 in "strict compliance with the health recommendations adopted by the competent authorities," reads a press release.
In addition to the barrier measures of wearing protective masks, using disinfectants and hydroalcoholic gels, and social distancing, "professionals in the sector must undergo Covid-19 screening tests."
The ministry calls on all citizens to demand this authorization before the operation of slaughtering the Eid sacrifices, "in order to guarantee their health and safety and avoid the risk of Covid-19 contamination," specifies the same source.
