Morocco ties even closer to the Israeli army

The security alliance between Rabat and Tel Aviv is shifting into high gear. The two countries have just signed, in Israel, their joint military work plan for the year 2026. A strategic agreement that marks the fifth anniversary of the resumption of diplomatic relations.

Military cooperation between Morocco and Israel is unrelenting. On the sidelines of the third Joint Military Committee, the two countries have validated their action program for the coming year. This signing comes five years after the normalization enacted by the Abraham Accords under American mediation.

According to the Israeli army, this agreement is the result of several days of intensive work. Moroccan military officials have made field visits to various Tsahal units, exchanging on planning and logistics issues.

The objective is clear: to strengthen interoperability between the two armies. The discussions focused on the defense strategy, intelligence and operational coordination in the face of common threats.

An alliance that is taking root over the long term

For Tel Aviv, this plan constitutes a "new milestone" in favor of regional stability. It comes to consolidate an already sustained dynamic, marked in recent years by the signing of memorandums, joint exercises and permanent communication channels.

This cooperation is part of a regional context in full mutation, where technology transfers and cross-alliances are becoming crucial. By signing this 2026 plan, Morocco confirms its desire to diversify its strategic partnerships to modernize its defense apparatus.

The agreement thus seals a relationship that now goes beyond the simple diplomatic framework to take root in a concrete and operational security architecture.
