Morocco Swelters as Temperatures Soar to 46°C (115°F) in Southeast

The hot weather persists, on Friday, August 16, 2019, in most regions of Morocco, with temperatures expected to reach 46°C, particularly in the southeast of the country.
In its daily bulletin, the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN) announces very hot weather in the southeast, the interior of Souss and the south of the country.
In terms of temperatures, it will be 21 to 26°C in the morning, in the Oriental, the Saïss, the plains west of the Atlas, the Souss, the southeast slopes and in the interior of the southern provinces, 27 to 32°C in the southeast of the country and the east of the southern provinces, and 16 to 21°C elsewhere.
This afternoon, we expect between 42 and 46°C in the interior of Souss, Chiadma, the far southeast of the country and the southern provinces. The plains west of the Atlas, in the center, on the southeast slopes and in the interior of the southern provinces will experience temperatures between 38 and 42°C.
