Morocco Braces for Scorching Heat Wave as Temperatures Near 40°C

The weather should be hot, even very hot, in Morocco today, with temperatures close to 40 degrees, especially in the south of the country.
According to the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN), it is expected to be hot on the interior of the plains, the Souss and the southern provinces.
Thus, this morning, temperatures are expected to be between 7 and 12 degrees in the Atlas and the Rif, 12 and 17 degrees in the East, the Mediterranean, the Tangier region and the Atlantic plains, and 17 and 22 degrees in the Saiss, the interior plains, the Souss, the southeast and the interior of the southern provinces.
In the afternoon, temperatures should rise significantly to reach 39 degrees. It will be 14 and 19 degrees in the Atlas, the Rif and the Mediterranean, 19 and 24 degrees in the East, the Saiss and the Atlantic coasts, 25 and 30 degrees in the plains, the Souss and the central regions, 30 and 35 degrees on the southeast slopes and the north of the southern provinces, and 35 and 39 degrees in the far south and southeast of the country.
