Morocco Swelters as Temperatures Soar to 46°C (115°F) in Southeast

The hot weather persists this Monday, July 1, 2019, in most regions of Morocco, with temperatures expected to reach 46 degrees, particularly in the southeast of the country.
In its daily bulletin, the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN) announces hot weather in the Southeast, in the plains west of the Atlas and, in places, in the Oriental.
In terms of temperatures, it will be 13 to 18 degrees this morning, on the reliefs, 25 to 30 degrees, in the Southeast, in places, on the Oriental and the far south of the country and 19 to 24 degrees, in the rest of the country.
This afternoon, the scorching weather is expected in several regions. Thus, 36 to 41 degrees are expected on the phosphate plateaus and the Souss, 41 to 46 degrees on the Southeast and the far south of the country, 25 to 30 degrees on the reliefs and near the coasts and 31 to 36 degrees elsewhere.
This hot weather should last at least until tomorrow, Tuesday, July 2, the DMN had warned in a weather alert, published on Saturday, June 29, 2019.
