Morocco Braces for Scorching Temperatures as Heatwave Intensifies

The hot weather continues to prevail in Morocco, with temperatures largely exceeding 40 degrees, particularly in the southern and southeastern regions of the country.
It is also expected, for this Friday, July 5, relatively hot weather in the interior plains of the Oriental, according to the daily forecasts of the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN).
This morning, 15 to 20 degrees are expected on the reliefs, the coasts and the northern and central plains, the Oriental, the Souss and the northwest of the southern provinces, 24 to 29 degrees on the far south and southeast, and 19 to 24 degrees on the southeastern slope.
In the afternoon, temperatures should rise significantly with maximums between 23 and 30 degrees on the reliefs and near the coasts, 30 to 35 degrees on the Saiss, the northern and central Atlantic plains, 35 to 40 degrees on the Oriental, the southeastern slopes, the interior of the Sous, the plains west of the Atlas and the north of the southern provinces, then 40 to 44 degrees on the far south and southeast of the country.
