Morocco Swelters as Heatwave Pushes Temperatures Near 40°C in Multiple Provinces

High temperatures persist in Morocco with the mercury approaching 40 degrees in several provinces.
According to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM), hot weather is expected from Wednesday to Friday in most Moroccan regions. It will thus be 35 to 39 degrees in Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Settat, Rehamna, Khemisset, Youssoufia, Taroudant, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Tiznit, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Sidi Ifni, Tan-Tan, Guelmim, Boujdour, Aousserd and Oued Ed-Dahab.
Temperatures will also be high in Salé, Kenitra, Nouaceur, Mediouna, Berrechid, Sidi Bennour, Benslimane and Safi where they will be between 34 and 37 degrees, while they will oscillate between 30 and 34 degrees in Larache, Rabat, Skhirate-Témara, Casablanca, Mohammedia and El Jadida.
