Morocco Braces for Intense Heat Wave with Temperatures Soaring to 41°C (106°F)

Morocco will experience a new heat wave from Tuesday, April 25 to Friday, April 28, warns the Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM).
A heat wave with temperatures between 37 and 41 degrees will hit on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 in the provinces of Taroudant, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Chtouka - Ait Baha, Fquih Ben Salah, Beni Mellal, Sidi Bennour, Safi, Settat, Chichaoua, Marrakech, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Youssoufia, Rehamna, Sidi Slimane, Sidi Kacem, Es-Semara, Assa-Zag and Tata, the DGM specifies in a weather alert bulletin at the orange vigilance level.
The same phenomenon (between 37 and 41 degrees) will occur from Wednesday, April 26 to Friday, April 28, 2023 in the provinces of Larache, Ouezzane, Meknes, Fès, Moulay Yacoub, Taounate, Khemisset, Kenitra, Khouribga, Settat, Benslimane, Sidi Bennour, Beni Mellal, Fquih Ben Salah, Chichaoua, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Rehamna, Marrakech, Safi and Youssoufia.
The DGM also announces that temperatures between 41 and 44 degrees are expected from Wednesday, April 26 to Friday, April 28, 2023 in the provinces of Taroudant, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Chtouka - Ait Baha, Tiznit, Tata, Assa-Zag, Guelmim, Es-Semara, Tan-Tan, Sidi Slimane and Sidi Kacem.
