Morocco Surpasses 5,000 COVID-19 Recoveries as New Cases Slow

131 new recoveries were recorded on Thursday, May 28 in Morocco, for a total of 5,109, according to figures released on the covidmaroc website.
According to the Ministry of Health, the kingdom has a total of 7,636 COVID-19 infections, including 35 new ones since last night. Since March 2, the date of the appearance of the first case, 202 people have succumbed to the coronavirus, for a fatality rate of 2.65%.
Regarding the map of the distribution of infections, three regions were affected on Thursday, May 28. These are Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima with 22 cases, Casablanca-Settat (+12) and Marrakech-Safi (+1). As for the other regions, they did not record any new cases.
In addition, the number of cases excluded after negative analysis results in the laboratory stands at 166,574. The cases under treatment amount to 2,325 (30.45%).
