Morocco Reports 54 New COVID-19 Cases, Casablanca Region Hardest Hit

54 new infections have been recorded since last night in Morocco, according to figures released by the covid-19 dedicated website. The kingdom now has 7,697 cases.
4 regions were impacted by these 54 new infections. The city of Casablanca-Settat was heavily hit with 39 infected cases. It now has 2,580 cases. It is followed by Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (+13), the third city to have exceeded the 1,000 case mark, Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (+1) with 701 cases and the Oriental (+1) with 187 cases. 28 recoveries were recorded this day in Morocco, against 0 deaths.
The total number of recoveries is now 5,223 while the death toll remains at 202. While the recovery rate is constantly evolving (6,786), the mortality rate, on the other hand, is falling to 2.62%.
The national report also shows 2,272 active cases, and 178,169 cases excluded after negative laboratory tests.
