Morocco Surpasses 3,000 COVID-19 Recoveries as New Cases Slow

Morocco now has more than 3,000 recovered cases, with the recording of 108 new recoveries overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday. An update from the website dedicated to covid-19 indicates that no deaths have been recorded since May 11.
More than two months after the discovery of the first case of covid-19, the new report shows 6,466 confirmed cases, including 48 new infections since last night, 67,742 cases excluded after negative laboratory tests, and 3,179 cases under treatment.
The 48 new cases are concentrated in 6 regions. Casablanca-Settat is in the lead with 1,780 cases (+28), followed by Marrakech-Safi, with 1,221 cases (+8), Fès-Meknès with 906 cases (+7), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma with 921 cases (+3), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 651 cases (+3) and the Oriental with 176 cases (+3).
As usual, the ministry calls on Moroccans to respect the rules of hygiene and health safety as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility.
