Morocco’s COVID-19 Death Toll Surpasses 200 as Cases Rise to 7,495

A new death was recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of deaths to 200 cases. The fatality rate is now 2.67% in Morocco since the start of the health crisis.
62 new infections were recorded this Monday, May 25 at 10 a.m. According to the monitoring platform of the Ministry of Health, dedicated to covid-19, Morocco now has 7,495 confirmed cases.
The cases of healing from covid-19 amount to 4,737, after the census of 34 new people. Contrary to deaths, the recovery rate in Morocco continues to rise. It stands at 63.2% today against 34.13% for cases under treatment (2,558).
Furthermore, the number of cases excluded after negative analysis results carried out in the laboratory stands at 139,103.
As for the distribution map, the Casablanca region remains the most affected. It records 37 of the 62 new cases (2,434), followed by Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma (+13), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (+6), Marrakech-Safi (+3), Souss-Massa (+2), Fès–Meknès (+1).
