Morocco’s COVID-19 Cases Surpass 7,000 as Northern Regions Near 1,000 Mark

110 new positive cases were confirmed in Morocco in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of infected people to 7,133. With one new death in the last 24 hours, Morocco has 194 deaths, more than two months after the first case of covid-19 was recorded.
According to the Ministry of Health, 197 new recoveries have been recorded. The number of cured people is now 4,098 cases (57.45%) against 2,841 cases under treatment (39.83%).
After Casablanca-Settat and Marrakech-Safi, Tanger Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma and Fès-Meknès are approaching the 1,000 case mark, with 981 (+20) and 980 cases (+10) respectively.
The ministry has once again called on Moroccans to respect the rules of hygiene and health safety as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility and patriotism.
