Morocco’s COVID-19 Hotspots: 4 Regions Surpass 1,000 Cases, Casablanca Leads with Over 2,600

Four regions of Morocco have largely exceeded the 1,000 mark of covid-19 infections. These are Casablanca-Settat, Marrakech-Safi, Tanger-Tétouan and Fès-Meknès.
Casablanca and its region, hard hit by the coronavirus, currently have 2,619 cases, followed by Marrakech-Safi (1,337) and Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma (1,094).
Fès-Meknès, the 4th most affected region, crossed the 1,000 case mark this week. It has not recorded any new cases for a few days.
As for the other regions, they have less than 1,000 infections. These are Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (702), Drâa-Tafilalet (586), the Oriental (187), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (115), Souss-Massa (88), Guelmim-Oued Noun (43), Dakhla Oued Deheb (5) and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (4).
The new covid-19 report in Morocco shows 7,780 confirmed cases (+66), 5,401 recoveries (+130), 204 deaths (+2), 2,175 active cases and 192,218 (+9,871) cases excluded after negative laboratory tests.
