Morocco Slips to 34th in FIFA World Rankings, Remains in African Top 5

Morocco’s qualification for the 2021 Cameroon Africa Cup of Nations did not help it bounce back in the FIFA ranking. The Atlas Lions have fallen one place in the latest ranking posted on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 by the world football governing body.
Romain Saïss and his teammates occupy 34th place with 1481 points. The Atlas Lions close the African Top 5 behind Senegal, Tunisia, Nigeria and Algeria. Vahid Halilhodzic’s protégés certainly earned this place in the ranking, due to their performances against Mauritania (0-0) and Burundi (1-0), as part of the last two rounds of the 2021 CAN qualifiers.
The world Top 3 remains the same with Belgium at the top of the pack, followed by France and Brazil.
