Morocco Climbs to 24th in FIFA World Rankings, 2nd in Africa

The updated FIFA ranking this Thursday, February 10 places Morocco in 24th place globally and 2nd in Africa.
The Atlas Lions further improve their position in the FIFA ranking with 1547.42 points, thus making a jump of 4 places. Morocco thus takes 24th place in the world and 2nd in Africa.
Morocco owes this breakthrough to the results obtained during the 33rd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations CAN Cameroon 2021, where it was eliminated in the quarter-finals.
At the top of the ranking is Senegal, the African champion, which is also entering the world Top 20 by climbing to 18th place. Algeria, given its performance at the CAN, is in 43rd place worldwide and 7th in Africa. The new African Top 5 consists of Senegal, Morocco, Nigeria, Egypt and Tunisia.
