Morocco Slips to 23rd in FIFA World Rankings Ahead of Qatar World Cup

Bad news for the Atlas Lions who lose a place in the FIFA football ranking, but maintain their position at the African level.
This FIFA ranking is the last before the opening of the 2022 Qatar World Cup, which will take place from November 20 to December 18, 2022. The Atlas Lions occupy the 23rd place behind Iran. Achraf Hakimi and his teammates have managed to accumulate 1,558.35 points.
At the African level, they maintain their position (2nd) behind Senegal (18th globally) and ahead of Tunisia (30th). Brazil remains the global leader, followed by Belgium and Argentina. The big surprise came from Mauritania and Botswana, who each gained 3 places. Somalia, on the other hand, lost 4 places.
In the global top 10, there are Brazil, Belgium, Argentina, France, England, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Denmark. In the African top 20, we find Senegal (18th globally), Morocco (23rd), Tunisia (30th), Nigeria (31st), Cameroon (38th), Egypt (40th), Algeria (41st), Mali (46th), Côte d’Ivoire (52nd), Burkina Faso (55th), Ghana (60th), South Africa (68th), DR Congo (72nd), Cape Verde (73rd), Gabon (79th), Guinea (83rd), Zambia (87th), Uganda (90th), Benin (91st), Equatorial Guinea (98th).
