Morocco Climbs to 32nd in FIFA Rankings, Highest Position Since 2004
Morocco occupies the 32nd place in the FIFA ranking, unveiled this Thursday, August 12. The Atlas Lions have made their best progress since 2004.
This is the first time since 2004 that the Moroccan national football team has been so well ranked. The Atlas Lions are 32nd with 1488 points. At the African level, the men of Vahid Halilhodzic have dethroned Nigeria by regaining the 4th place.
It is on this ranking that the draw for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, scheduled for this Monday, August 16 in Cairo, Egypt, will have to be based. With the rank it occupies in the ranking, Morocco will be in the first pot alongside Cameroon, Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria and Nigeria.
