Morocco Climbs to 28th in FIFA Rankings, Becomes Top Arab Nation

Morocco occupies the 28th place in the FIFA ranking, thus dislodging Tunisia. The Atlas Lions have moved closer to the Teranga Lions by taking the 2nd place at the African level.
The new FIFA ranking was published this Friday, November 19, as an international break has just ended. Morocco with 1,525.5 points finds itself in 28th place, ahead of Tunisia which has 1,512.13 points. It thus becomes the first Arab nation in the ranking, but remains behind Senegal, 20th with 1,561.68 points.
The Moroccan players stood out this month, with two wins, against Sudan (2-0), then against Guinea (3-0), as part of the 5th and 6th matchdays of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. At the end of the qualifications, Morocco took the lead in Group I.
