Morocco Climbs FIFA Rankings After Strong Africa Cup of Nations Start

By winning their first match in the Africa Cup of Nations against Ghana (1-0), the Atlas Lions should improve their position in the next FIFA ranking.
In the latest FIFA ranking, the Atlas Lions had occupied the 2nd place at the African level and the 28th at the global level. But with their performance on Monday against Ghana, the men of Vahid Halilhodzic should find themselves in 24th place in the ranking.
Morocco is one of the favorites of this CAN and has demonstrated it by snatching the three points of victory against Ghana thanks to a goal from Soufiane Boufal in the 84th minute. Romain Saïss and his teammates will have to strengthen their advantage in the competition by beating the Comoros tomorrow, Friday.
