Morocco Climbs to 29th in FIFA World Rankings, Enters Top 30

The Atlas Lions return to the world top 30 of the updated FIFA ranking this Thursday, October 21. Morocco occupies the 29th place in this new ranking of the international football federation.

The Atlas Lions gain 4 places and enter the world top 30 and the African top 3 with 1513 points to their credit. In Africa, Morocco overtakes Algeria by one place and is getting closer to Tunisia ranked 27th with 1525.3 points, while Senegal is 20th with 1564.95 points.

The Atlas Lions owe their current position to their recent performances in the qualifications for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. They have successively beaten Guinea-Bissau (5-0 then 3-0) and Guinea (4-1).

In the world top 5 of this FIFA ranking, we find Belgium in first place, followed by Brazil, France and Italy, winner of the Euro.
