Morocco Slips to 33rd in FIFA World Rankings Despite Recent Victory

The September FIFA ranking is not in favor of the Atlas Lions. Despite their victory against Sudan, they have lost a place to Australia.
Morocco finds itself in 33rd place in the FIFA ranking. However, Vahid Halilhodzic’s protégés maintain their lead over Nigeria (34th) and are ranked fourth in Africa.
The Moroccans were supposed to face Sudan and Guinea in the 2022 Qatar World Cup qualifiers. But they were unable to play the second match due to a military coup in Guinea. The Moroccan players were then evacuated urgently and the match was postponed.
At the global top 3 level, Belgium is still in the lead, followed by Brazil. England, the European Championship runner-up, is in 3rd position.
