Morocco: Škoda car sales soar
Czech automaker Škoda is posting an exceptional performance for the first quarter of 2026. Its global sales are surging, driven by explosive growth in North Africa, particularly in Morocco where deliveries are skyrocketing significantly.
North Africa is establishing itself as a genuine growth engine for the Mladá Boleslav company. Between January and March, the Moroccan market stood out particularly with 1,700 vehicles delivered to customers, representing a spectacular 45% increase compared to the previous year.

This excellent regional momentum is bolstered by neighboring Egypt, which recorded 1,600 registrations and a 58.5% increase. Outside the African continent, India is also contributing to this international vitality with 17,400 units sold.
These local performances are part of an extremely favorable global context for the company, which delivered 271,900 cars worldwide in three months, representing a total increase of 14%. Driven by the success of its electrified ranges, including the Elroq and Enyaq models, the brand is reaching a historic milestone by becoming the second best-selling automaker in Europe.
