Morocco Shuts Down Rabat Streets for World Cup Heroes’ Homecoming Parade

The municipal authorities of Rabat have decided to close to traffic from this Tuesday morning, the boulevards on which the lions of the Atlas will pass for their tour of thanks.
The Moroccan players after their exploit in Qatar are returning this Tuesday. They are expected at 4 p.m. at Rabat-Salé airport. It is therefore to better prepare their arrival that the local authorities have announced the temporary suspension of traffic and parking on the Boulevards on their route.
According to the municipal decree, it is the part of Hassan II Avenue connecting the Sidi Makhlouf tunnel and Bab El Had square and Mohammed V Boulevard from the intersection with Hassan II Avenue to the Assounna Mosque. The ban on passage and parking on these different boulevards lasts all day. As for Moulay Hassan Boulevard, it will be closed from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The City Council calls for strict compliance with these provisions, under penalty of exposing oneself to the rigors of the law.
