Morocco’s Atlas Lions to Face Top Teams in March Friendlies After World Cup Success
In order to prepare for the upcoming deadlines, the Atlas Lions will play two friendly matches during the next international break, scheduled for March.
We still don’t know the opponents of the Atlas Lions, nor where these matches will take place. But the national coach said the national team will face two big football powers to relive the monumental feat achieved at the 2022 World Cup with their supporters in Morocco.
The Moroccan national football team indeed achieved an impressive run in the tournament, reaching a historic 4th place in the final ranking. Walid Regragui’s men surprised the football world with their quality and determination throughout the matches. Belgium, Spain, Portugal, among others, were the victims.
"Right now, we’re going to rest. Then we’ll see what the best option is to play in Morocco. The Moroccan people want to see their national team, so we’ll try to play two friendly matches in March with two big teams to celebrate our supporters," announced the Moroccan coach.
