Morocco to Shake Up Lineup for World Cup Qualifier Against Congo

The Atlas Lions will face Congo Brazzaville on Tuesday as part of the 2026 African World Cup qualifiers. Walid Regragui, the coach of the Moroccan team, should make some changes to his starting lineup compared to the one that started against Zambia.
Walid Regragui’s protégés will cross swords with the team of the Republic of Congo Brazzaville on Tuesday, June 11 at the Grand Stade d’Agadir, starting at 8:00 pm. The coach plans to change the attack by lining up Ayoub El Kaabi or Soufiane Rahimi instead of Youssef En-Nesyri. In midfield, he could bet on Sofyan Amrabat who will direct the game. Absent during the confrontation between Morocco and Zambia due to suspension, he could prove to be effective. In defense, the coach of the Moroccan team could trust Chadi Riad or Abdelkabir Abqar in place of Nayef Aguerd or Romain Saïss.
On Friday, Morocco beat Zambia 2-1 at the Grand Stade d’Agadir in the 3rd round match of Group E (African zone) of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. With this victory, the Atlas Lions soar to the top of their group in these African World Cup 2026 qualifiers, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada.
