Morocco Sets Eid Al-Adha Date for June 17, 2024

The 1st Dhu Al Hijjah of the year 1445 of the Hijri calendar will correspond to Saturday, June 8, 2024 and Eid Al-Adha will be celebrated in Morocco on Monday, June 17, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced on Friday evening.
In a statement, the ministry specifies that it proceeded with the observation, after the Maghrib prayer on Friday, Dhu Al Qi’dah 29, 1445 H, corresponding to June 7, 2024 and confirmed the observation of the crescent moon announcing the beginning of the month of Dhu Al Hijjah 1445 H.
As a result, the month of Dhu Al Hijjah will begin on Saturday, June 8, 2024 and Eid Al-Adha will consequently be celebrated on Monday, Dhu Al Hijjah 10, 1445 corresponding to June 17, 2024, the same source also indicates.
The announcement of the Moroccan religious authorities confirms the date already given by the scientists several weeks ago.
