Morocco Sets Coronavirus Test Price at 500 Dirhams, Health Ministry Announces

A coronavirus screening test costs 500 DH in Morocco, announced the Ministry of Health at a press conference.
During this media appearance, the ministry, through the Director of Epidemiology, Dr. Mohammed Lyoubi, provided an update on the situation.
According to him, the Kingdom has taken several precautionary measures to detect any person meeting the definition of a coronavirus case, namely the strengthening of surveillance measures taken at the level of health care facilities and hospital structures, with epidemiological investigation.
These measures are supplemented by the deployment of isolation rooms to accommodate possible cases and the equipping of hospital facilities with the necessary protective equipment. While recalling the false rumors circulating about the virus, the official reported a daily update of the ministry’s website. According to the Director of Epidemiology, if a confirmed case of coronavirus is detected, the ministry will inform the public.
Mohamed Lyoubi did not fail to specify that Morocco has prepared well by developing a surveillance and response plan, updated in light of the epidemiological situation.
