Morocco Reports Third Coronavirus Case: French Tourist Tests Positive in Marrakech

The Ministry of Health has just announced a third case of Coronavirus infection in Morocco. It is a 52-year-old French tourist, who arrived in Marrakech on Saturday, March 8.
Respiratory problems and a slight fever, which occurred the next day, had forced the French citizen to go to the city’s hospital, where he was invited to take the Covid-19 screening test.
The medical staff’s suspicions of a Coronavirus infection were later confirmed by the analyses carried out at the Pasteur Institute of Morocco. The patient was taken care of by the hospital, in accordance with the recommended health measures.
In a press release, and as part of the epidemiological monitoring and surveillance system and the policy of transparency, the Ministry of Health is committed to informing the public of all the news related to the epidemiological situation in the country.
