Morocco Set to Receive New Sinopharm Vaccine Shipment from China

Morocco is about to receive new batches of the vaccine from the Chinese laboratory Sinopharm. A Dreamliner from Royal Air Maroc (RAM) took off in the early hours of this Saturday, March 6 from Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca, bound for Beijing to deliver part of the order.
More than a month after vaccinating part of the frontliners, Morocco needs new vaccine doses to avoid a pause. Flight AT3800 should deliver this new order, tomorrow Sunday, January 7.
The first two batches of vaccines received from the Chinese laboratory are equivalent to 1 million doses, or two batches of 500,000 received on January 27 and February 16. In other words, the kingdom should receive a significant quantity of doses during this next delivery, in order to ensure the continuation of the vaccination campaign.
As of Friday, March 5, 2021, the injection of the first doses has seen a decline with only 57,900 first-time vaccinees. The remaining first injection capacities are now only 122,313 doses.
