Morocco Receives 500,000 More Sinopharm Vaccine Doses, Boosting COVID-19 Campaign

The Royal Air Maroc (RAM) Dreamliner is back at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca, with on board a new batch of 500,000 doses of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine. The vaccination campaign against the coronavirus is in full swing.
Flight AT3001 from Beijing has just delivered the new order of the Sinopharm vaccine. In total, 500,000 doses of the Chinese vaccine. With this new delivery, the number of Sinopharm doses received reaches 1.5 million. To date, Morocco has received 8.5 million doses of vaccines: 7 million doses of the British AstraZeneca vaccine and 1.5 million doses of the Chinese vaccine. This represents more than 10% of the orders placed with these two laboratories (65 million doses).
This third batch of the Chinese vaccine will allow the smooth running of the anti-Covid vaccination campaign. As of March 6, more than 3.9 million Moroccans have been vaccinated. Among them, nearly 500,000 have already received the second dose.
