Morocco Receives 1 Million More Sinopharm Vaccine Doses, Boosting Immunization Efforts

Morocco received, this Saturday, June 19, 2021, an additional one million doses of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine. Enough to maintain the pace of vaccination and achieve collective immunity before the end of July.
A Royal Air Maroc (RAM) Dreamliner from Beijing landed at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca this Saturday. The aircraft transported an additional one million doses of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine. After landing, this batch of vaccine was transported by refrigerated trucks from the SNTL to the services of the Autonomous Refrigeration Reggie of Casablanca (RAFC).
In total, Morocco has so far received 10 million doses of the Chinese vaccine out of an order of 40.5 million doses. With this new delivery, the vaccination campaign against the coronavirus, particularly the administration of the first dose, will continue normally. As of June 19, 9,374,710 people have received the first dose. There are 8,057,159 people who have been given the two doses.
